Parwanoo is a charming town in Himachal Pradesh that is famous for its fruit orchards, organic jams, and marmalades. It is one of the closest hill stations to Delhi by road and can be reached in about 5 hours. Parwanoo offers a splendid view of the Shivalik range and the Kaushalya river valley. You can enjoy a cable car ride that takes you through some breathtaking views of Parwanoo and its surroundings.
You can also visit some of the attractions like Gurudwara Nada Sahib, Pinjore Gardens, Nagarkoti Mata Temple, and Timber Trail Resort. Parwanoo is a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate amidst nature.
I visited Parwanoo last year with my family and we had a wonderful time there. We stayed at the Timber Trail Resort, which was very cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the cable car ride that gave us a bird’s eye view of the town and the valley. We also visited the fruit orchards and tasted some of the delicious jams and marmalades made from fresh fruits. We also went to the Gurudwara Nada Sahib, which is a sacred place for Sikhs. We felt very peaceful and blessed there.

Dehradun is the capital city of Uttarakhand and one of the most popular hill stations near Delhi. It is situated at an altitude of 1400 feet above sea level and has a pleasant climate throughout the year. Dehradun is blessed with lush green forests, misty mountains, sparkling rivers, and ancient temples.
It is also a hub for adventure activities like trekking, hiking, camping, paragliding, rafting, and more. Some of the places to visit in Dehradun are Mindrolling Monastery, Tapkeshwar Temple, Lachhiwala, Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Robber’s Cave, Malsi Deer Park, Forest Research Institute, Indian Military Academy, and Rajaji National Park. Dehradun is a place where you can experience the best of nature and culture.
I visited Dehradun two years ago with my friends and we had a blast there. We went for trekking in the Mussoorie hills and enjoyed the scenic views of the Doon valley. We also visited the Mindrolling Monastery, which is one of the largest Buddhist centers in India. We were amazed by the architecture and the statues of Buddha there.
We also explored the Robber’s Cave, which is a natural cave formation where a river flows inside. We had fun splashing water on each other and walking through the cave. We also visited the Forest Research Institute, which is a heritage building that houses a museum of forestry. We learned a lot about the flora and fauna of India there.

Lansdowne is a quaint hill station in Uttarakhand that was established by the British as a cantonment town. It is named after Lord Lansdowne, the then Viceroy of India. Lansdowne is known for its serene beauty, colonial charm, and military heritage. It is surrounded by dense oak and pine forests and offers a panoramic view of the Himalayas.
You can visit some of the attractions like Bhulla Lake, Tip n Top Viewpoint, St John’s Church, St Mary’s Church, Garhwali Museum, Darwan Singh Museum, Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple, and Bhim Pakora. Lansdowne is an ideal destination for those who want to enjoy a peaceful getaway from the city.
I visited Lansdowne last month with my partner and we had a romantic time there. We stayed at a cozy cottage that overlooked the valley and the mountains. We enjoyed the sunrise and sunset from our balcony and cuddled in the cold weather. We also went for a boat ride in the Bhulla Lake, which is a man-made lake that is maintained by the Indian Army.
We also visited the Tip n Top Viewpoint, which is the highest point in Lansdowne and offers a stunning view of the snow-capped peaks. We also explored the churches and museums that showcase the history and culture of Lansdowne.

Nainital is one of the most famous hill stations near Delhi and a popular honeymoon destination. It is located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand and is named after the Naini Lake that lies at its center.
Nainital is also known as the Lake District of India as it has many other lakes like Bhimtal, Sattal, Naukuchiatal, Khurpatal, etc. You can enjoy boating, fishing, birdwatching, and sightseeing in these lakes. You can also visit some of the places like Naina Devi Temple, Mall Road, Raj Bhavan, High Altitude Zoo, Snow View Point, Tiffin Top, Naini Peak, and Eco Cave Gardens. Nainital is a place where you can witness the beauty and diversity of nature.
I visited Nainital three years ago with my family and we had a memorable time there. We stayed at a hotel that faced the Naini Lake and enjoyed the view of the lake from our window. We also went for boating in the lake and visited the Naina Devi Temple that is situated on its bank. We also shopped for some souvenirs and local delicacies at the Mall Road, which is a bustling street full of shops and restaurants.
We also visited the High Altitude Zoo, which houses some rare and endangered animals like snow leopard, red panda, Himalayan bear, etc. We also took a cable car ride to the Snow View Point, which offers a spectacular view of the Himalayan range.

Mussoorie (280 km from Delhi)
Mussoorie is another popular hill station near Delhi that is also known as the Queen of Hills. It is located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand and offers a splendid view of the Doon Valley and the Shivalik range. Mussoorie has a charm of its own with its colonial buildings, winding roads, green hills, and cascading waterfalls.
You can visit some of the attractions like Kempty Falls, Gun Hill, Lal Tibba, Camel’s Back Road, Mussoorie Lake, Happy Valley, Company Garden, Cloud’s End, and Jharipani Falls. You can also enjoy some adventure activities like trekking, zip-lining, rappelling, rock climbing, and more. Mussoorie is a place where you can have a fun-filled vacation with your loved ones.
I visited Mussoorie four years ago with my friends and we had a blast there. We stayed at a campsite that was surrounded by pine trees and had a bonfire every night. We also visited the Kempty Falls, which is one of the most famous waterfalls in India. We had fun bathing under the falls and clicking pictures. We also visited the Gun Hill, which is the second highest point in Mussoorie and can be reached by a ropeway.
We enjoyed the panoramic view of the valley and the mountains from there. We also visited the Lal Tibba, which is the highest point in Mussoorie and has a telescope that allows you to see some of the peaks like Badrinath, Kedarnath, etc. We also explored the Camel’s Back Road, which is a 3 km long road that resembles a camel’s hump. We walked along the road and enjoyed the scenery and the cool breeze.
